Our Team
The work done at John's is made possible from our amazing team who each contribute to getting you the highest quality cloths and alterations we have to offer.
Liz Porter

I am the owner of John’s menswear and alterations. I acquired the business from my uncle, John in 2024. I am a 1994 Auburn University graduate. I had a career as a Flight Surgeon and Pulmonologist in the United States Air Force. I returned to Auburn after retiring from the military. I am privileged to be doing business here in Auburn and serving the community.
Sean

I’m a designer, Auburn University grad (Class of 2025), and recently married to my best friend, Lauren. I’m passionate about workwear and vintage clothing—especially the pieces that have been worn, repaired, and lived in. I love keeping garments going and hearing the stories behind how they arrive in our shop. Every detail matters to me, and that perfectionism shows in all my work.
Donna

At 59, soon to celebrate 60, I am a proud mom to my daughter Mandy and “Lulu” to my granddaughter Charlie. I love spending my time volunteering, baking treats for people I love, and gardening. These simple joys keep me grounded, grateful and always growing.
Austin

I'm a soon-to-be 18-year-old high schooler at Lee-Scott Academy who enjoys photography, roller skating, and hiking. I love thrifting vintage electronics, but mostly I love thrifting for fashion. I have always loved finding new outfits at the thrift store and imagining them in my always-busy closet. I'm passionate about sewing, crocheting, and always dressing my best. Once I graduate, I plan to attend an Ivy League college and major in biochemistry before attending medical school to become a surgeon.
Jeow

Hi! My name is Jeow. I’m originally from Thailand and came to America with my family in 1981. Outside of work, I enjoy sleeping, watching YouTube, reading, and eating. Most of all, I love my coworkers, who are also my friends.
Jonny

I'm a Marine Corps Veteran who loves to sew bags and clothing. I love weightlifting, hiking, and snuggling with my cat. I’ve been sewing for almost 5 years now and plan on continuing that as long as possible.
